1366x768 resolution on a Sony 32" LCD TV

My Sony 32" LCD TV says it supports 1366x768 resolution but in the manual it says that for PC use it only supports 1280x768, and that's the max resolution my video cards let me choose for it.

It is connected through a VGA port on my 6800GT.

I tried using a DVI to HDMI cable but the colors are all wrong and the screen stretches out and I don't see all of it.

Does anyone here know how to use 1366x768 using VGA?

Thanks

Certain LCD TV's have a max limit on vga so that would be the best you can do.

Have you tried using a different HDMI cable? And when using that are you outputting the proper resolution?

I have a 32 inch Sony LCD TV (KDL-S3000 to be exact). I am able to run at 1360x768 1:1 pixel mapping mode connected via the HDMI port (DVI -> HDMI). It looks razor sharp and clean.

I haven't tried VGA, but I will test it out tonight when I get home. What model do you have?

On the manual it says one of the following, KDL-32U2000E, KDL-32U2520E, KDL-32U2530E, KDL-32U2530E, KDL-32P2530E, not sure which I have, my LCD is mounted on the wall.
