I have suspicions that the account may have been hijacked.

When I look up their account I get a "BLANK NAME" that now belongs to this team:

Unimatrix Meibok Medume Liquid

But there is no person on that team with 200,820 WUs?

I don't know what's going on.

The Seti Email Address goes to: Björna who only shows 2,895 WUs? and the link to it seems to be dead.

Neither Tim or Bryan have posted anything in the last week?

The strangeness continues. Björna no longer appears to be listed on the Unimatrix Meibok Medume Liquid team? Do we now have someone on the run?

I have gotten a report that other teams have similar problems but I don't have any specific information to report at this time. Could Seti be doing the long awaited "Final Audit"? Doubtful, for an audit before the final day of allowed crunching will be just a waste of time.

We could have a situation where something happened and Tim or Bryan actually did quit. If that is the case, I cannot figure out what that "something" may have been. The Top 1000 still shows "someone" currently in 224th place with 200,839 WUs. The name is now blank. Check it Out.

Further checking still only provides confusing information.

I have written both Tim and Bryan, so as soon as either of them check in to the AT Forums they will be made aware of the situation.

Heck, they may have actually left but I can't believe it.
 
After the last weekly stats they produced something the last week, and therefore should atleast show up on their class-page that is only weekly updated.
But knowing their class isn't so easy. According to BOINC BnT (#204) registered 27.03.2002, but the profile says 26.03. 😕
After a little digging their class is 29.03.2002 and their showing up as they should here...

None of the profile-links seems to work if using setathome, while setiathome2 atleast has the users around BnT but not BnT...

As for the email, this account not showing up on the listed team is confusing. They not showing up on their class-page is on the other hand completely as it should, since they haven't returned anything since April.

It looks confusing to say the least... Unsure if it's the seti-servers playing up, or something different...

I am sure this has to either be a hijaack or a stats mix up. I don't believe they would leave much less without an explanation. This will work out.

Maybe they haven't been checking their hotmail account and Microsoft let it expire and someone signed up for the same address?
 
Sorry to see that at least for now, that 'yall have lost some good friends and team mates.... With the stats being weird recently, let's hope for the best, and that they come back soon in a big way. 🙁

While we like being currently in 5th, it's never as sweet when it happens this way.

It's true, it's NEVER over until the last WU is sent to Berk, and then they kill the data server for good...

Slightly OT: Any idea why my old account ([BBR] Logan 5) here doesn't work anymore? I noticed a site redesign (LOOKS NICE!!!🙂 ) so maybe that's the reason ??

When they redid the forums they removed a lot of inactive account and it ain't over till its over ).
 
Hi guys! I am really sorry to hear about this current problem. I have read about it at our forum but I had to come here and see what this is all about.

As our team captain Kinguni said, "Wow. As much as I like being ahead, it's not by the other team's loss of
members I like to see it by".

I too hope that TA is able to get things straightened out, for winning is
one thing but not winning because of another teams misfortune.

If it was an account audit and a problem was found I doubt the account would still be sitting in 224 place without a name as the work units would have been wiped out.
The whole thing is very confusing.
 
Berkeley mistake or not, Team Starfire is ready and willing to defend our new #5 position! Your guys here are a great team and I like the competition.
