We actually got our independence as a nation, July 1st 1867. The BNA gave us our constitution and our laws and rights.

Nobody in Canada went to work today. The sky was filled with a pungent smokey haze and if you could find a Canuck on the street they weren't even able to say, "EH?"
 
I can hear the fireworks. Just got home from a full day of ball hockey. my legs are dead, too lazy to walk over and look at the firework.

If you ever come out to Vancouver ........... I've got two game of ball hockey, 1 game of ice & 1 game of roller going (at least one event going on during the year). Roller in the summer & Ice & Ball in the Fall to Spring.
