please! give me a break...while I respect and honor every person who volunteers to protect our country, it irks me when veterans ask, ive served my country, have you? of course i have, i didnt have to join the military to do so though. you chose that path, and it's a brave person that does so, but every american serves their country by paying their taxes, supporting the principles of the constitution, doing their civic duties, and voting.

i hear veterans say that if they didnt defend us, we couldnt enjoy the wealth that we have now...well that's definitely true, but without us working our butts off day in and day out, our military would be fighting with sticks and stones. i just wanted to state that while people that have served in the military definitely deserve more of our respect, they certainly arent more american or served our country more than any other decent american.

Sorry, didn't see this post. The only problem with this is that 92% of the Philipino population is Christian. It is INDONESIA that has all those muslims. The Philipines were a Spanish colony for decades and was heavily christianized by the imperialist spaniards. So they weren't muslims and they weren't terrorists. They were indigenous freedom fighters who just wanted to get rid of colonialists. Our subjugation of the Philipines is one of the most disgusting pieces of American History.

You're digging yourself into a whole, dude. Your ignorance is quite astonishing. Catholics and Protestants in the Philippines killed a few thousand Americans over the years following the Spanish American War. They did so because the Americans came as "liberators," but were in fact just another set of Colonialists. There weren't many Muslims in the Philippines, just christian tribesmen fighting for independence. Hence, your "reference" is Bullsh!t.
