130 nanometer or wait for 90?

I'm about to build a new computer and I am wondering whether it is worth buying a 3000+ or 3200+ socket 754, or should i wait until october for the 90nm 3000+ and 3200+ s939's???

I think you jsut read my post wrong. I am currently sharing a computer based on a p4 1.5ghz willamatte processor. I'm getting a computer of my own now and i'm tryingg to decide between the 130nm and the 90 nm 3000+ and 3200+ processors

Wait for october for 90nm 939. No, wait for Novemeber for Nforce4... No wait for december for PCIe. No wait, for March for DDR2 support. No, wait till BTX comes around...maybe in june.

the size of the process used to make it is more of a concern for the makers of the chips. It allows them to get faster speeds it's not really something to wait for.

Well there are some signifigant improvments to 90nm core. First it's about 5% faster than the 120nm core and gets SSE3 and bunch of other goodies.

Meh I could go either way wait or just get cheap 754 now.... maybe wait just to see how the prices hash out and overclcoking ability then make a choice. Either way, 754 will always be cheaper and offer indescerable perfromance hit.
