13 US Soldiers Commit Suicide

They signed up, they should bear the responsibility. After all, we're doing the right thing by being in Iraq.

Aside from that insanely sarcastic remark, I grieve for them tremendously, and I pray for their families.
 
"The Army and Navy annually average about 11 suicides per 100,000 personnel, the Air Force about 9.5 per 100,000 and the Marines about 12.6 per 100,000. "

Probably higher when combat conditions/overseas is included. It's just too bad they couldn't find another way through their problems.
 
This is sad, but remember how many soldiers we have there. I would be interested to see how many soldiers commit suicide here in the US during the same period......

That is horrible. One can only imagine what they must have witnessed that drove them to suicide.
 
Any statistics there on how many were 'Regular' and how man were 'National Guad/Reservists'
that found extention of deployment and finiancial ruin in their immediate future - dispair.

But having a good friend that did commit suicide, i have to say that they are just plain stupid..

NOTHING is that bad that it is worth taking your own life over it.

3. This is the way i feel, i dont believe in war. my thought is - IF you feel that you need to takes somebody's life then you should be killed yourself. If you have THAT much vengance in yourself, that you actually will put and END to a human life yours should be taken as well. I dont believe in WARS and SIDES. How can you get a gun and KILL anothe human cause somebody orders it? What would you say when you get to GOD (if you believe). Each human life is all worth the same therfore if you TAKE you must GIVE and they just gave.
Now you tell me, why is this wrong. What is wrong with this believe exactly. This is the law of the universe, this is the rule in YIN and YANG. Its too bad you dont understand a concept like this cause you have no honor. Not many people do, your would probably kill 10 people and not care. I bet your would kill a whale for 100.oo. Yet your are pissed at me. With a concept like this i would never take another humans life unless i was prepared to take my own as well.....THIS is the ultimate sacrifice and expression of selflessness - NOT shooting people from 100.00 yards with an M-16 or dropping bombs from a different time zone. - YOU are the peice of sh*t.

So you think it is ultimately wrong to take a human life. You believe in this so much, that you believe war is wrong.

But when someone kills himself, for whatever reason you do not know, you come in with a smart ass comment mocking their deaths.

You say "Sad - please". Ok, it isn't sad. It's something else you imply. What? Happy? Deserved? AHA that's it, you meant it was deserved. Live by the sword, die by the sword. They deserved to die because they were soldiers.

So not only do you declare they deserved to die, you are totally uncaring about their deaths. And yet, you claim to care about life. What a joke. You practically made the argument of suicide bomber at the end there...
