I don't agree with the feminist part (I think lots don't understand feminism and use it to scapegoat all progressives they don't agree with. Feminism in and of itself is a great thing) but the rest of it seems sadly true. There is very selective outrage and opinions and responses to these things unfortunately differ based on skin color.

That's not a reality, that's a fantasy. And even if that particular invisible man in the sky really existed, he doesn't love anyone. He hates Christians for the sin of being born and they have to spend their entire lives making up for it.

That is precisely wrong. First, the entire story of Christ is an explicit rebuke to that ("For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son..."). And second, no amount of making up for it will suffice. We are saved not by our own actions but by God's grace and mercy. We don't appear before God with an argument for our salvation based on a score sheet.

What ideology? Quite a lot of things had to come together to bring us to the point of such events. Patriarchy, religion, imperialism...probably the biggest one is conservatism, which seems to lie behind every curtain one peers behind when looking for reasons. So I have to assume that's the one you mean.

I mean, fundamentalist Islam is not exactly liberal is it? Have yet to meet an Islamist campaigner for gay marriage or abortion rights. And Saudi Arabia (and much of the rest of the middle East) wasn't created by western liberals or leftists was it?

(Edit, though some western liberals are just as keen as conservatives to do lucrative business with it, granted)

Actually it was, the Saudi's chose to deal with us because unlike the British, we chose to "respect" their culture, we protected their culture in splendid isolation and allowed them to grow in power and influence, we did not impose our values on them, because who's to say what's superior right, all things are equal because to think otherwise would be intolerant.
