At least 13 people have been killed and dozens injured after a van in Barcelona ploughed into pedestrians before two men entered a restaurant with guns.

Pictures and video emerging from the scene show armed police and paramedics rushing to the Las Ramblas, a busy tree-lined promenade in the centre of the city.

Horrifying footage from the scene shows dozens of victims lying injured on the floor.

Gunfire was heard at the Corte Ingles store in the area after police announced a 'massive crash'.

Police officers were said to be negotiating with two attackers in a Turkish restaurant where they have taken hostages.

Officers were also searching for a second van the attackers may have hired as a getaway vehicle.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing people running away and screaming after the terror attack happened.

ISIS seems to have pioneered a new and easy weapon of terror. I'm surprised this hasn't been thought of earlier.
 
Damn I was in Las Ramblas a year ago to the date. Kind of scary to think about that.

That place is extremely crowded with tons of people constantly in the streets too.

Seriously though, does every post have to be a troll? Do you have actual ideas that you would like to defend with data and reason? Are grade school level taunts really that enjoyable for you? For many of the posters who are actually interested in rational discourse, posts like yours are not only a distraction but they are also quite boring. For the life of me I can't understand why anyone would respond or even read a few of a trolls on here. There's no attempt at honest discourse, why bother when their goal is just to rile people up?

I guess if someone needs to vent it's one way to do so, just don't expect anything to ever change 🙂

Trump just issued tweet condemning this terrorist act. I have a question, since this was the EXACT SAME ACT as Charlottesville, what makes this terrorism and UVA not? Since it is the exact same act it must be the number of people killed. So far there are 13 so what number from 2 to 13 did we cross the terrorism threshold??

Also I don't think we have a confirmation it was ISIS so why are people assuming?

ISIS-inspired covers a lot of ground...ISIS-trained operatives returned to Europe, random people pledging allegiance to ISIS before carrying out an attack, or other mentally disturbed people acting out what they see in the media.
