I was just looking at a good review at Tomshardware.com which has 13 boards including Via kt266a and Nforce boards. Check it out.

Hah! That review is so inaccurate. They state that the Shuttle AK31 only supports up to 133MHz bus speed. I bet they also left the Shuttle memory settings by SPD. Don't these people read other sites' reviews??

Yeah they reported the MSI board as only being able to go to 133MHz FSB too. I think they just use the performance settings instead of manually tweaking the board. Whichever board has the most agressive performance settings is the one that is most likely to win.

LoL T*m's....another load of crock...still waiting for a competent site to do a roundup....Anand what's taking so long??? :p

Here's my favorite quote from the article...for MPEG-4 Encoding (note that almost all the KT266A boards performed within .25-.50 fps of the nForce boards):

Again, both nForce boards have pummeled their KT266A challengers

Damn, worse than usual for Tom's. It would take me an hour to point out all the errors...simply useless.

Lmao, yah I'm surprised T*m's Hardboys managed to play with 13 Athlon systems without having their heatsink fan fall off and their XP's going up in flames. Funny how they throw in a KT266 system, but no P4 at the same clock as a "reference" system.

And I think they are lacking a couple of the newer VIA KT266A boards like one from ECS etc...
Right?? ;)

I also have to agree. It's sad, :( this used to be a good site for solid information, with well written reviews. This could
be a good review if someone would take a couple of hours and think about what they are trying to say before publishing it.

Shuttle and MSIs settings look to be proper, on every review around the web they come in under epox's board. I noticed they said 2 things untrue about my board too, looks like when they listed the features someone wasn't paying attention.
