You didn't just complain about it. You express a lack of personal motivation based on someone else getting tax dollars.

Why should you work when others don't work? Because your tax dollars support welfare queens just give up and become one yourself eh? That will show em.

You seem prepared to support them, how about you pay my portion too,so I can keep mine to spend how I see fit, rather than continue to give it to a populous that has shown no desire to better themselves.

Better yet, make it voluntary ,like a check box on a W4 forum.....a percentage of your paycheck....this way, you could donate as much as you like....I know mine would say 0%..but I'm sure a noble dude like you would give 50% ..I mean, think of the children.

That would be fine with me, I'll support people on welfare, I want zero of my tax dollars going to defense or corporate subsidies.

To my earlier point, I am fine with allowing people to choose where their tax dollars are spent. I suspect people will be surprised at what gets funded though.

So you fund defense and all the corporate handouts, I'll fund welfare.

my favorite is that the same person, the one I mentioned that is waiting for their tax refund to get a new tattoo, apparently hasn't worked in over a year, the benefits have supposedly run out, has bills up the wazoo, and now it just looking for any job until they are accepted into the union this summer since they just took their exam...yet have seen countless reports of them going out over the past year....seems that being careless doesn't have many negative repercussions.

Want her kids to starve? Want them to be adopted? The costs are inescapable, and so since she isn't able to pay it, somebody else has to. Unless of course you want her kids to starve or to be adopted, which actually adds to the overall costs.

She could just get a fucking job....or two if needed.

Top comment:

"This is not the future, it is now. I had a child brought in for ear infections around age 3. These were straight forward and not a chronic problem. Mother demanded I fill out forms for "SSI Disability" for which she would receive an additional $636 per month tax free in addition to Welfare, Food Stamps and Medicaid.

It turns out this brood mare had 11 kids by seven fathers and eight were already on "disability" most for a diagnosis of "Social Maladjustment Syndrome" which best I could find out were Government Certified Brats with a psychologist filling out the forms. All this largess come to over $100K per year with no tax implications. She was highly indignant when I told her the kid did not qualify for this scam making threats and storming out of the office."

And yet foster parents would have been paid more (also 636*8 does not equal 100)

She could just get a fucking job....or two if needed.
EIC is for EARNED income; It goes up in value much faster than it goes down, so that there's a strong incentive to work. It's also a much better option than having a minimum wage; as it encourages more work, and better pay, while at the same time securing a livable income for those that work.

The only problem I have with it is that it comes in the form of a tax-return instead of being mandated as part of one's pay check.

Honeslty; EIC is about the most reasonable and fair way to go about welfare for the WORKING poor we've ever come up with.

If she's getting more than EIC back, though, then she screwed up her W4...

Remember kids, only the 1% evil banker types can make people poor. Poor people can never do things to make themselves poor.
