4 kids, 3 of which go through the public school system, food stamps all year long at the tune of $800 a month.
I really know someone that this is their situation. No exaggerations at all.

Ah don't worry, she is just trying REALLY hard to get back up on her feet. All she needs is a little more. Then next year a little more. She is striving EXTRA EXTRA hard.

No no - don't take any away. Don't let them sink or swim. That would make sense. And we in the United States of Takers can't have that.

Heh I am witnessing the welfare state through a friend. He met a girl, she moved in.

600 a month in food stamps
600 a month in rent from the county
650 a month in welfare

On top of that he was approved for a loan he cant afford because of the VA. Nobody should have car payment + house payments that equal 80% of their take home pay and be given a home loan.

She hasnt even started school yet which he is telling me she will get 5K a semester for living expenses plus the cost of tuition. I'd laugh if it wasnt so pathetic.
And I have no idea what kind of tax return she would get when you start adding in the child credits.

I ask him why would she work? He is all about her getting a job. With her skillset there is no reason to get a job. She couldnt hope to clear that kind of money producing.

There is no fuggin article. Its someone i know. I'd love to get the w2 and tax return check to make copies but it'd be pretty strange asking someone for those documents so I can laugh about it on a forum.

same. i would like to read the details because it really sounds fishy..

It isnt that fishy. I did somebody's tax return who is a single mother. She grossed more than that but her taxable income through deductions ended up being 3800 bucks. She got a federal check for 6500 and a state return of 1200. Now I believe she paid about 3500 in federal taxes and about 1100 in state taxes for the year. So she netted abotu 3K from the feds and about 100 from the state. The child credits ect add up.

Personally, I think you are full of shit(Nice Red meat for the Rabid Rightwingers in here tho) because that person would be in jail if they cashed the check. The only people who can get away with stealing Billions of dollars without any repercussions are Wall Street and the Big Banks.

While disgusting, this really isn't news. I've known people personally, heard from known trustable friends the same type of things, and have even sat on the train here going into work and listened to women talk to each other on how to game the system. In the circles it's done in, this type of stuff is common knowledge.

Remember though: If there isn't a news article on it, it doesn't happen (or, it "only" happens at "1%"...hahahaha)...

Want her kids to starve? Want them to be adopted? The costs are inescapable, and so since she isn't able to pay it, somebody else has to. Unless of course you want her kids to starve or to be adopted, which actually adds to the overall costs.

Everyone knows the plural of anecdotes is data.

Or at least everyone I've ever met.

How about death? How does that sound for you twat muffin? You know that road kill you pass by on the street? How about the cows you eat up? How are worthless humans that have no shame, yet plenty of ignorance worthy of life at the cost of everyone that DOES have shame?

You haven't made it far in the real world obviously

The problem is that social welfare disincentivizes people from improving their own situation. This lady may be trying her hardest and only be able to make $13k. That is definitely not the case with everyone receiving welfare. The government plan is basically relying on people to be self motivated to improve. Do you remember high school? How many of your classmates would you say were self motivated? It used to be that people were basically embarrassed to be on welfare and would try their hardest to improve their situations so that they didn't have to rely on it. Now it's become part of the entitlement mentality for a lot of people.

The question is how you properly weed out the people who are sandbagging their own lives to get welfare support. I don't know the answer.

How bout we stick a 200 watt soldering iron up her wise and beautiful woman so she stops breeding kids she can't afford. So sick of this shit.

Four kids and I notice no mention of any daddy's in the picture either. Just as much to blame, all four of them.

Let me guess brown and catholic and doesn't believe in birth control?
