12V rail churning out .43V?!?!?!

according to the BIOS, MBM5, and hardware doctor, the 12V rail on my PSU is churning out .43V

could this possibly be right? windows is perfectly stable btw

............. Don't think the system would boot at that voltage! I was say wrong readings! Try seeing if the PSU has POTS on it that you can adjust.

its an antec 380W truepower, i dont think it hs any pots

i was sure the system wouldnt boot at that output as well :cofused:

Um...the reading is wrong. You sure it isn't .43 on the -12v?

are you running an NF3 250? ive been hearing alot of incorrect voltage readings for that chipset

nope, its a IS7

its reading .43V on the +12 rail and 6.83 on the -12V

Do you have a multimeter?

That can not be right. Can't you check your rails in the BIOS, that should be accurate.

I would check the 12v pins with a multimeter, that will for sure tell the truth.

It's probably wrong. As NokiaDude said, use a multimeter to check the actual voltage.

10 bux isnt to bad to spend if ur using it once, i say go to rad shack they have a really good one for 10 bux more

Otherwise somehow your 12v and 5v rails are messed up. +12 rail + -5 rail = 7v
