Home Depot has 12-packs of Coke and Diet Coke for 1.98. they are stacked on a pallet in the front of the store. They were 2.98 yesterday. Not all BM stores may have this.. so YMMV. No rebates/coupons needed.

We easily sold a pallet of the pop in a day at my store last week. Who thought you would come to a hardware store just to buy soda? lol

BE VERY CAREFUL... Aspertaine (Atificial Sweetner and Spelling) has a SHORT shelf life in a carbonated beverage.

EVERY 12 pack of Diet at my HD was EXPIRED and tasted like crap when my NY one did this last year...

This is why you will see Hess and other Gas Stations sell 12 packs 4 for 10
THOSE are not expired but Coke and Pepsi keep close tabs on sales and offer incentives to distributors to move stock...

Grocery Stores have similar programs but they are PLANNED.... Gas Stations are more reactionary...

My Friend drives a Beverage Truck so I get a lil bit of dirt...

I just bought one at the Pleasanton store but it was 2.58 (still better than the grocery stores), but there wasn't any CRV charged so I guess it evened out a little. BTW my date on the cans were Nov 26 07

Too bad soda doesn't actually use real sugar anymore. I switched to all diet when real sugar went the way of the Dodo. HCFS FTL.

Thanks for the Heads-up Keeper... I bought half a dozen 12 packs not long ago...and just looked at the date--Nov 11. I wonder if big sale always means "old soda?" And what to do if one has an outdated 12 pack? Wonder if the stores or Coke/Pepsi will exchange or issue a coupon for outdated ones?

Eternal Vortex--if Aspartame has a half-life of 300 days then in 150 days, 25% is gone. But gone to what? It has to change molecularly into something--I wonder about the health aspects of what that secondary chemical is--do you know?

Edited to relate to Eternal Vortex's post.

they sell a lot of weird stuff at home depot now.

i know you can buy a plasma tv there. and they actually are one of the less expensive places to get pre made rj45 cables in a pinch (cheaper than all the office and electronics stores anyway)
