12mp Samsung WB1000 camera - Analog Gauges, 3" OLED display, 720p h.264

The OLED screen is nice.

The gauges might have a "cool" factor but would annoy me.

The 24-102 zoom range is decent with 2.8 aperture at the wide angle, but a rough 5.8 maximum aperture at the long end.

The 1/2.33" CCD sensor seems pretty small to have 12.2 megapixels packed into it. I guess we'll have to wait for some reviews to see what kind of images it can produce, and how it handles noise - especially in low light.

IMO Samsung has never been good with noise reduction, and even if their point and shoots employed efficient NR algorighms (like Canon or Panasonic), packing 12.2 megapixels on a 1/2.33" sensor is just asking for heaps of noise even at low ISOs.

Not really impressed by this.

Not to mention only having 3mp @ ISO 3200
