If you were my student, I would fail you after reading the first paragraph. Regardless of your views on ANYTHING, if you offend your reader, over something so trivial and unrelated to the topic at hand, you are a failure.

There are papers where there will be differences of opinion, but it's hard to take offense if your reasoning is backed up. Your reason for offending someone gains NOTHING in the paper, and for that, it's pretty stupid to me.

I'm glad that I'm not your student! I prefer professors who help me express myself and not what they define as proper. My professor was an Orthodox Jewish woman who was very conservative but she enjoyed the paper even though she very much disagreed with it... The paper sparked a bit of a debate and, while some people were annoyed by it, the discussion was civil and interesting. She smirked when I read the line in question and didn't suggest that I was less intelligent for it - it's immature.. I admit that.. But what's wrong with being immature every now and then?

That's what pisses them off. When the truth contradicts what someone's faith tells them they get angry because to truly reconcile such differences one must alter their faith to at least some degree......and sheep don't like that.

My sister lost two baby boys, back to back 🙁 I was really depressed during those years... I have an adorable new niece now, though I'll have to dress like Barney at her first birthday party... The things us uncles have to do!
