I would give work to her and tell her when it will be finished. After a while if it doesn't work I'd just separate her from it entirely. To mix pleasure and business is a cliche, and also it's a bad idea.

Since she's your friend, just tell her that you need to move ahead on the project, and ask if she would mind if you got someone else to do the part that she's too busy to do. No matter what she says, get someone else. She's clearly a slacker.
 
Just talk to her and tell her that if she's too busy to work on the project, then perhaps it'd be a good idea to get someone else to do it.

That said, and maybe I'm reading too much into things, but this is the second time this has happened. Is it possible that you might be contributing to the problem, maybe putting too much pressure on them or something? You have admitted to being ambitious to the point of being overly so, and to the point where people have commented on a dramatic change in your attitude.

Thanks for the reply... I'm not angry at her - what i was doing before (what was wrong) was getting upset and confronting people.. Right now I'm just thinking things out and will take your advice - I'll be honest and let her know that I think that she may be a little busy right now and ask her calmly if I should write it myself or seek someone else.. yOU're right, in the past I took it too personally - I apologized to everyone that I was angry with and now I'm a lot more relaxed and not taking anything personally..

I said in that other thread that people here hate me - I'm used to it... Oddly, Andreea just invited me to a movie.. How can I be upset at her now? I'll just write the thing myself and explain to her that I'm in a bit of a rush and understand that she's busy.. No hard feelings and I won't let it mess with our friendship.
