Newegg has this board in stock for $129 with free fed-x shipping. Best price I could find on pricewatch was $128 plus shipping.

Good price for a great motherboard, free shipping makes it even sweeter. IDE RAID may not be as good as SCSI RAID, but for the average user, its pretty good. Really IDE itself is good for the average user. imho SCSI RAID is really only super useful for high end video editing, high end workstations, and of course production servers

Also consider the IWill KK266...great board, and it's 2 bucks more but it's worth it.

I agree with you that the KK266 is an excellent board but the one for $131 at newegg is not the RAID version so you would be paying $2 more for a lot less content. It seems like the KK266-R and the Turbo-R have a lot in common such as stability and for the same price same options it would be a toss-up.

I've heard about IDE currption problems between the KT133a and the 686B, and that VIA will be making a new 686B friendly version of the KT133a. Has anyone experiences such problems?

Keep in mind you guys that the Iwill board was rated as it was because it can hit the EXTREME fsb's that put it over the top compared to the other kt133A's. However, don't forget that almost all the kt133A's are hitting 145+. When you consider the limitations of the PCI, AGP, etc, you're not gonna be running it at the 160+ that the Iwill can hit anyhow. For what it's worth, the Turbo is a much better deal.

Or, for those not into IDE Raid, you can get the non-raid version of the MSI K7T Turbo for $115 w/free shipping. Beats the $120 on the Epox 8KTA3 I was thinking of getting.

Well, yeah, Liqice, Audio and Video is exactly what i do. Who in here does not rip CD's or DVD's? I have a TV tuner that I save some shows in MPEG4. Or how about any image editing with Photoshop? I am running 3D Studio Max 4 and the 3D rendered movies need speed. Luckily Adaptec is coming out with Ultra320 @320mb/sec. There is no way IDE can reach this speed this quickly.
