Koala Memory 128MB SDRAM PC-100 RAM $129.00 @ overstock.com:

http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?PAGE=PROFRAME&PROD_ID=4931&DPT_ID=27&cid=0&fp=T

Combine with Overstock.com's $25 off $100 coupon and their usual free shipping for a grand total of $104.00 shipped. This betters by 9 dollars anything on pricewatch for 128MB PC100 RAM, plus you don't pay shipping charges.

COUPON: (expires 21 July 2000)

90 day warrenty on these DIMMs, too.

p.s. tried to post this a day ago, but this Anandtech forum won't take posts from people getting their internet access from AOL. Shame on you Anandtech, alienating millions of internet users.

And you have legitmate members like myself who actually has the elite high speed internet, but frequents places where only AOL is available. Spammers can get their internet access from anywhere, it does not have to be AOL, and its makes little sense to myself, a JUNIOR MEMBER, why a forum system would exclude a significant percentage of internet users who receive their access from AOL.

I do not want this good memory deal to be locked because we are quibbling over the rationale behind why people arriving at this site through AOL IPs are BANNED from partipating. But this is my point, and I additionally think your arguments are elitest (like many senior internet users are inclined to do [myself no exception]).

Nothing personal towards you.

Lap up that good memory, kids.

It was decided that for the good of the many AOL and a few other ISPs were locked out. AOL was given PLENTY of time to go after the people that the Anandtech mods identified as the guilty but they DID NOT. Therefore AOL was banned.

I understand your irratation but... Sometimes you gotta kick the mule.

EDIT: just to say that this is just me shooting off what I think went down, I'm not a mod or anything so feel free to correct modskis! And good deal BTW...

EDIT2: (after reply below) Just to be clear by mule I mean AOL, not you... hehe... Just in case.

PWT, CMV.

My irriation is tempered with understanding. But when I discover a hot deal it is frustrating to me, as a member of this community, to be denied the ability to share it with everyone. And as you know, time is very important. The coupon expires soon, and overstock is not famous for their plethora of inventory.

Look at pricewatch, the lowest price is somewhere around 130-140 shipped. RAM prices are way jacked up nowadays. I'm thinkin about pulling some ram outta my system end fleabaying it, buy some more when they're more reasonably priced. Now is definitely not the time to buy ram. Hot deals rule- my last 192 mb of ram(1-128, 2-32) cost less than $80 total.

This is a pretty hot deal, especially with the memory price-hike recently. Good find!

Pyr and acedaddy323: Internet elitism at its worst.

I pointed this out in my original post. This type of memory on pricewatch goes for 115+, and that is not even shipped. I don't control the SDRAM markets, I merely have attempted to find a good deal on SDRAM relative to CURRENT market prices. I am sorry this is not Corsair Micro 128MB SDRAM for 20 dollars. Simply put, if you do not think saveing at least 15 - 20 dollars on memory after shipping is not a good deal, you are living in the golden past of cheap memory and this deal was in not way intended for your type. The only hot deal on RAM I could ever provide to you, was a plan on stealing it from the company.

Did anyone else notice the "factory serviced" image under the picture? Maybe this isn't so hot anymore.

104 is not a good deal. you can pick this stuff up at fleabay for around 80-90$ (at least as early as 2 weeks ago when I was looking for PC133 which was selling for that much)

Price is now $159 - $40 (coupon) = $119 for a 128MB PC100 stick.

I just spent the last 45 minutes trying to track down the best deal on PC100 ram and I think this is it. Anyone find any better?

PC100, dude? Go down to your local Circuit City. $100 for 128 PC100. And not your crappy no-name, either. Centon, which is Dell, Gateway and those big manufacturer's use. It's $129.99 - $20 mfr mail in - $10 Circuit City Mail in. $99.99

Try reading your paper sometime.

Hmm, is this even a good deal? I haven't really checked prices on SDRAMs but I recall getting PC133s for just a bit more and I also recall PC100s being cheaper back then but who knows, price fluctuates with RAM.

Just to let you guys know, I ordered the same 128 megs of koala memory from overstock about a week ago. It was $129 with a $40 off of $100 coupon. However, they messed up on the coupon and only gave me $20 off. so when I complained, they accidentally gave me $40 off. That means $129 - $60 = $69. But the most surprising part about it was that when I received it, it was ECC. I don't know if all of them are ECC, but mine is, and it's working great, especially for $69.
