Brian if you have the card in your note 4, can you please install the app A1 SD bench, and test the card? I'm dying to see if the note 4 takes advantage of the speed of the card.
I'll look into benching it this weekend. I picked it up late Tuesday and transferred 16GB of music in about 20 minutes.

Well for most things just about any uSD card should be adequate, but 4K video is going to eat a ton of data really quick. I believe we're talking 3X-4X the rate for 1080P video and that's about 10GB/hour so we could be talking 40GB/hour -- or about 11MB/sec.

Of course, a storage devices write speed isn't just about raw write speed of a large file/files but also takes into account writing to many smaller files. When I copied my music to the 128GB uSD card last Tuesday I did so with the card installed in the Note4 and I figure the sustained data rate had to be about 13.65MB/sec so if thats representative of the cards write speed then the worst case writing 4K video should be OK.

15 sec UHD vid took 80 megs.

That's about half the data rate I would have imagined. I'll have to shoot some 4K video and see what I get. The type of video you shoot can make a huge difference in data rate with high action pushing at the high end and a stable shot of a black wall at the other end.

Ran the A1 SD benchmark and it comes out out 12.9MB/sec which is a bit slower than I measured when transferring 16GB of music to it.

I haven't yet done the 4K video test but might do that tomorrow.
