I will say this though.

When I was in high school I got kicked out because I would cut my hair and wear different clothes.

My hair wasn't even that long, and as far as my clothes went, I wore blue jeans and "T" shirts. Clothes I could afford on my own.
I told the principal that my Dad didn't like giving me money and I didn't like asking for it, I bought my own clothes... Etc.

When I got home and told my Dad, he said "Come on I'll take you to get your hair cut and buy you some clothes."

I refused saying it was a matter of what is right and what is wrong. The schools attitude was WRONG. They were just using it as an excuse because a day or two before I had gotten into a fight with one of the "In crowd". (A LONG story, but again it was a matter of right and wrong). My Dad then tried to force me to go and get my hair cut etc. and we started wrestling. No blows were thrown by either one of us, and in the end we both ended up crying. But I DID stand my ground on my principles. I left the next day, and not long after that joined the Marines.

Years later he said that THAT was the day he realized he could no longer FORCE his will on me. And he also said he was PROUD of my for standing up for what I considered to be right. He even agreed that I had been in the right over the whole matter!

give the man a ... that's a real man! :)

Yes, i hit my parents back. But I lived to regret it. NOT from their retribution, bt from my own guilt. My parents were the gods of my life - no matter what I think, they've carved me from their existence.

Wow, some of your moms were physical...I'm sure my mom slapped me before but it's so rare that I can't remember one single time. I did hit my mom softly as a kid though. As for recently, I was mad at my dad one time and my mom came to talk to me and I accidentally hit her in the eyes because I was throwing my arms around in anger....then felt so bad about it and cried (<-- big-ass softie), which made me realize I could never, ever purposely hurt my mom. There were a few times I wanted to beat the hell out of my dad but didn't, and probably will never even want to do that.

i had to jump on my dads back once and give him a chokehold, he was freaking out and chasing my sister (and him being 250lbs it was slightly humorous to see him try and run...) dont recall why he was chasing her though, bah, hes a dick

I responded, I was one of the few to say yes. I dont want to talk about it, but right after I did, I knew I made a mistake.

Hell no! My dad woulda stomped my ass into a mudhole! And my mom.... Worse then my dad!!

Course, I had very good parents, and no reason to want to hit them (No good reason anyways)

And just to add, if one of my kids ever strikes me..... I'm gonna stomp their ass into a mudhole and then throw them promptly out the door onto that mudhole.

Once it was snowing heavilly, but the snow was to let up in 2-3 hours. So far about 2 inches had accumulated and it looked like another 2 was going to come. My mom told me to go shovel the snow. I (~13 years old at the time) told her "No, I'll do it when the snow stops so I won't have to go back out in 2 hours and do it all again". She demanded that I do it immediately (I still don't know why to this day - it isn't like we had any company coming over). Without saying anything, I went downstairs to my bedroom to get my socks and shoes. My mom assumed I was just going downstairs to play and started getting quite angry. When I came back up with my socks and shoes just a few minutes later she yelled at me for not obeying. I yelled back that I was obeying but I needed my socks first and I hurled them at her head. Realistically socks thrown from ~15 feet away will not harm a fly. She called the cops on me (only time they ever did that) and I got a nice hour long lecture from some female cop that I'm to obey my parents every command and that hitting is wrong. I shoveled the snow like I promised - after it stopped snowing.

Does this count as me hitting my parents back? I haven't voted yet.
