I will say this though.
When I was in high school I got kicked out because I would cut my hair and wear different clothes.
My hair wasn't even that long, and as far as my clothes went, I wore blue jeans and "T" shirts. Clothes I could afford on my own.
I told the principal that my Dad didn't like giving me money and I didn't like asking for it, I bought my own clothes... Etc.
When I got home and told my Dad, he said "Come on I'll take you to get your hair cut and buy you some clothes."
I refused saying it was a matter of what is right and what is wrong. The schools attitude was WRONG. They were just using it as an excuse because a day or two before I had gotten into a fight with one of the "In crowd". (A LONG story, but again it was a matter of right and wrong). My Dad then tried to force me to go and get my hair cut etc. and we started wrestling. No blows were thrown by either one of us, and in the end we both ended up crying. But I DID stand my ground on my principles. I left the next day, and not long after that joined the Marines.
Years later he said that THAT was the day he realized he could no longer FORCE his will on me. And he also said he was PROUD of my for standing up for what I considered to be right. He even agreed that I had been in the right over the whole matter!
give the man a ... that's a real man!
