One time when I was wrestling with my dad (I was like 5?) he really pissed me off and I kicked him. In the balls... Didn't mean to kick him there, but oh well. That's about it.

My dad had too much sense to ever get physical with my brother and I, he beat us up when we were kids as was deserved, but when we got to like 10 years or so he'd just punish us financially and such.

Now my mom on the other hand.. she was freakin' insane. She got mad at my bro one time when he was like 11, and went after him with a cooking spatula. My dad stepped in tellin' her to calm down and stuff, and she ended up breaking it in an effort to flog my dad with it. (we celebrated the defeat of the evil spatula used for punishments - I was like 9 at the time)

When we got older, and much bigger than her, she continued efforts to be physical with us. Sometimes it ended rather badly being as nobody, even if its your parents, is going to sit there and get smacked around if you don't have to. My mom was not the most rational person when it came to assaulting her children, but for the most part she was a good enough mom that it never got too bad, except once. <- that'd be my bro's story to tell, he can post further on the matter if he wants, but I won't.

Yes I jump-kicked my step-father in the stomach. He ran my head into the bathroom wall.

My mother on the otherhand, maybe when I was very small. I bit a lot of people between the ages of 14 months and two years. Hell, I was even biting until the age of 5. When I was like 12 she got real pissed and attacked me. I didn't hit back but I sure got a chance to use some of the skills I learned from taking aikido. Aikido sure doesn't help much with scratching though.

Can't say that I ever had a reason to hit my parents back. My mom came at me with a belt once but backed off. Neither one of my parents ever "beat" me, I was spanked as a child but had no corporal punishment beyond the age of 5. If I did ever try to swing at my father he could have ripped off my arms and beat me with them. :)

Hmm.. coming to think of it, my dad did abuse me a few times for no reason when I was a little kid.
He doesn't dare touch me now. Even when he *playfully* punches me, and I *playfully* punch back, he has to sit down and take a breather :D

when i was about 8, my dad was fake wrestling with my sister, but i thought he was really hurting her, so i came up behind him and upper-cutted the fvcking woah out of his nuts, and then punched him in the left kidney immediately after he hit the ground. he screamed like a banshee and everyone laughed so hard haha...i was then informed by my sister that he was just messing around

My dad went about 175lbs and picked me up once by my lapels and put me against the wall like I was a 200lb. feather.

I thought twice about ever messing it up with him after that.

My mother tried to slap me once. I blocked it, then she tried to get me from the other side, and I blocked that one. She kept trying, I kept blocking, and she kept getting more pissed, so I backed away and got the Hell out of there.

I've never hit back, but that's because my parents never really got physical with me. I was spanked once when I was 6 or so, I can't remember why but I probably deserved it.

I will say this though.

When I was in high school I got kicked out because I wouldn't cut my hair and wear different clothes.

My hair wasn't even that long, and as far as my clothes went, I wore blue jeans and "T" shirts. Clothes I could afford on my own.
I told the principal that my Dad didn't like giving me money and I didn't like asking for it, I bought my own clothes... Etc.

When I got home and told my Dad, he said "Come on I'll take you to get your hair cut and buy you some clothes."

I refused saying it was a matter of what is right and what is wrong. The schools attitude was WRONG. They were just using it as an excuse because a day or two before I had gotten into a fight with one of the "In crowd". (A LONG story, but again it was a matter of right and wrong). My Dad then tried to force me to go and get my hair cut etc. and we started wrestling. No blows were thrown by either one of us, and in the end we both ended up crying. But I DID stand my ground on my principles. I left the next day, and not long after that joined the Marines.

Years later he said that THAT was the day he realized he could no longer FORCE his will on me. And he also said he was PROUD of me for standing up for what I considered to be right. He even agreed that I had been in the right over the whole matter!
