I'm looking to get a 42" plasma soon for our living room for television viewing but would also like to be able to hook my computer up to it (3870 soon) for some gaming. Do video cards or games even display this resolution and if not, how well do plasmas scale this resolution from 1920x1080?

Any information is greatly appreciated!

video cards do display that resolution. In fact they go higher.

Most games do support this resolution. some do not.

When you have a game that does NOT support that resolution scaling comes into play...and that depends on the individual TV model you get.
