Tell your roommate to get the guest a sleeping bag and sleep in your roommates room.

You might want to talk to your roommate alone about this.

Talk to your roommate about it. If I were just crashing at a friend's place, I would have no problems getting up and sleeping on the floor somewhere else if someone wanted the TV or something.

I know my old roommate's girlfriend used to crash on the couch at my old place sometimes, but she didn't care if I watched TV or something. Just the price to pay if you crash on the couch.

TV in the room? Get a cheap TV tuner for the PC. I know it's avoiding the situation, but having a TV tuner in my room is pretty convenient.

Didn't you find it strange the girlfriend was crashing on the couch and not in the roommate's room?

EDIT: oh, and on topic, I would agree with talking to the fellow renter, and asking if since it is his friend, he could maybe give up his bed (?) for him if he has a bad back, and he can take the air mattress on the floor... Esp. if he didn't even ask you if it was ok for this kid to crash there.

lol yeah, i find that weird too.

As far as the topic goes, you just gotta ask yer roomy to figure something out. When I go to my one friends dorm suite (theres 3 rooms attached to a bathroom), i always just sleep on my friends couch in his personnal room so i dont interfere with roomates. And I know if anyone complained about any type of situation, i'd feel like i was in the wrong. Its not my place.
