BTW, it says DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK (or something very similar) when i turn the computer on and don't go into the bios and just wait for windows setup to try and load.

What ya need to do is get in the BIOS...at post tab the delete key to get in BIOS, in Boot Options, make sure the cd-rom is set to first boot device.

done it and it still doesn't work.

if not....then try putting cd-rom on 1st ide connector on cable, if cd-rom is only device on that cable, it won't matter if it's a slave or master, even though master would be preferred....if still nothing post back.

Green light on the IC7 turns red when i turn the computer on and i hear a little beep...all of my RAM is accounted for though so i'm not sure if the light/beep are normal, possibly ram related, or related to this problem

I could really use some help 😉
