It does not, however, come with a monitor. (it says video ready without a monitor). Its a big coupon off, but the price seems a tad inflated. Maybe its good though.

looks pretty smokin to me. All new technology, great time to make the jump. pci-e sata etc.

gnarly lookin case too

That one works. I just picked up one for my brother. Probably switch out the x300 for a 6600 gt.

If you guys go and configure a base model its $1799! This deal includes a 3 year in home service 7 days a week. You are also getting a double layer dvd burner and 250 gb sata hd. Quit looking at just the graphics and processor, your getting a ton of extra stuff for the price.

lame for Dell to jack the price up and then give a whopping $1250 off.
Nice marketing strategy there :roll::roll::roll::roll::roll:

I just purchased one, except upgraded to XP Prof. too good a deal to passup. Big savings over the current new XPS Gen4. This System is fully loaded for my needs.

Been thinking about buying a new system and this deal made my decision for me.

Thanks for the info and code.

why do they pack 533 ddr2, which can run at 266mhz, on a 800fsb cpu which only needs ddr400. Do people with dell's often upgrade their cpu's, and would the motherboard even be able to handle 1066 fsb anyway? or is it because people see ddr2, think ooo its fast and new, even though with its loose timings it'll run slower for you

do these XPS still sound like a vacuum cleaner? Bought one a couple yrs ago and had to return pronto -- I couldn't stand the noise.

I was wondering that myself. Anyway, you can piece together a comparable system on Newegg for about the same $$ (well I was using regular DDR and not DDR2). But then you also don't get the 3 year warranty when you build it yourself.
