I think I spent $22.95 on some clearance Nikes once in my life....

Who here actually spends that much money on tennis shoes? Why would you?

I have to buy roughly 100 dollar shoes two or three times a year for volleyball. Spending more for a nicer pair is definitly worth it when im running and jumping around in them 5 times a week. However, I wont have to worry about it next year. Im playin in college next year, and the school buys my shoes now.. along with other stuff too :)

I spent $110 each on my doc boots and sandals. They, however, last upwards of 3 years or more. So it's worth it.

all i wear all tennis shoes. my daily outfit consists of sneakers, scrubs, and a t-shirt. on average i pay ~$140 for a pair of air max, and go through maybe 2 pairs a year. considering that i wear these shoes EVERYDAY, i think it's worth the cost. a lot of ppl pay upwards of $60-$90 for a shirt or pair of jeans, which are only worn maybe once every 3-5 weeks.

I like expensive shoes, but only when they're on sale. I just bought a pair of $150 air max's for $55. :)

Well, I figure I can spend more on shoes at the time, and take good care of them, so they last longer. I have one pair of docs, ECCO sandals, Adidas running shoes, nike running shoes, Johnston & Murphy dress shoes, and buying a pair of Kenneth Cole or Unlisted dress "boots" soon. (Bought everything on sale tho, most were the Johnston & Murphy's at around 130, with the retail being 180)

You need different shoes for different clothes, what can I say.

No. I buy a pair of doc's for about $100 and they last for about 3 yrs. You pay $120 for the same amount of time and wear sh*tty shoes.

An old girlfriend of mine (who is NOT rich, but very stylish - she is a fashion designer) spent over $1,000 on Prada boots once.
