Without knowing other cars on the field sort of worthless. It's not a terrible car though....just probably not worth the $125k unless you are buying exclusivity or a future collectable.

Other cars in the field, if I remember correctly were

BMW M3's, Porshce 996's, Mustang Cobra's, 350 Z's...I'm not familar with Grand AM Racing Rules, so I don't know what kind of each car had.
 
Honestly, I think the mustang is the best of the re-done american sports cars for under 50K. I mean, the GTO is hideous, and the new Charger is even worse. Next thing you know, theres going to be another 'Cuda made and its going to such balls. Still, this car definetly isnt worth the 125K, unless youre a rich bastid who can afford a collectible this expensive...

Exactly..that's all it's meant for...not even for dragstrip racing - some mag did a test and it was only .1 sec faster than a stock Mustang GT in the quartermile. I think many so-called ATOT "car enthusiasts" don't realize what it takes build to race car...or even read maybe 😉
