Again, I shall say, Family Guy was so pathetic... what a dumb show.

That England episode really sucked. But there are very few Simpsons episodes that suck, how can you cancel the SIMPSONS!?!?

I've been saying that for years...The Simpsons peaked a long time ago.

BTW, the least funny episode ever (that I've seen at least) is the one where they find out what happend to Smithers' dad...

The simpsons have been really going downhill. They fell off the cliff at the end of the hill a while ago.

i am a huge simpons fan, and I would have to agree that the quality of the episodes have decreasedover the last few years. But did you see last night's episode, the one where he builds the robot? I laughed at that one more that any other one this season. Hopefully they are getting better.

Have they lost something? Yes...

Do they still get ratings? Duh!

Are these lower quality episodes still better than most of the garbage on tv? Yes!

Besides, they start out weak in the season and have the better ones later.... to bolster support until the next season!

how can you cancel the SIMPSONS!?!?

Realize the show is no longer about a fun, zany, American family with 2.5 kids, a crazy grandpa, and some in-laws who drive the family nuts. Realize Homer is no longer a good man and father, if not humorously slow witted, but instead a completely idiotic boob in a desperate attempt to be "duh duh" funny.

Marge is no longer the adult staple, mother, and wife, keeping Homer and the kids under control, but more like an acomplace to more "duh duh" humor through idiotic gags and barbericly dumb plots. (EX: Marge the body builder)

Bart is no longer the little scamp, the 90's Dennis the Mennace with a slingshot in his pocket and his " 'lil bastard" kits, but a homoerotic idiot, following in the footsteps of his father as far as "duh duh" humor instead of being witty. Milhouse is no longer his nerdy best friend, but his completely flaming, homosexual friend, constantly trying to say and do things to get accross that he is, in fact, very gay.

Remove or bastardize most of the support cast. Make Barny sober up, lose all of the family, resort to eight or nine guest stars per episode to function as support instead.

Finally, as they begin to realize that they scraped the bottom of the barrel a few years back, bring up old ideas that have already been used (such as Marge getting mugged), and bastardize the story to give it a rediculous new plot. Even the Treehouse of Horror episodes have gone from hilarious ("No TV and no beer make Homer.. something something." - "Go crazy?" - "Don't mind if I do!") to "Oh no! Time traveling zombie cowboys!"

I don't understand how anyone who ever enjoyed the show before it turned into a steaming pile, can possibly enjoy it now. I haven't brought myself to watch an episode in about nine months now.
