120 Hz monitors

I plan on getting more monitors when they come down in price a bit. Does anyone know if one should not do a 3-monitor setup if each monitor has different refresh rates? Like later on I might buy a monitor with 120 ghz but my current monitor is only 60.
 
Are IPS monitors really suited for gaming? I thought that they have high reaction times..

Also yeah, a 120 Hz 1920x1200 monitor to hit the market would of been awesome
