Looks like it's $189 after a $50 mail-in rebate. I don't know really anything about LCD's, except they can be spendy, but looking at the specs, I think I saw a 50ns response time. From what I've gleaned from AT forums, can I assume this is not an LCD you would want if you play games?

Danger Will Robinson, Danger! Tiger Direct is known for their trickery, whether it be bumped up credit card charges or signing up their customers for calling cards then charging them for them. DANGER!

Type in tigerdirect or tiger direct under search on the hot deals page. You'll see people posting nasty stuff about them. People even have "ihatetigerdirect" as their profile name.

In the world of advertising, there are numerous stories of sales actually going down after running commericials that were not well thought out. Every time someone posts a TigerDirect deal, they do a disservice to them because the posts receive replies that would make anyone think twice about shopping there.

You will also find a thread about their halloween sale where it appeared that maybe they are trying to fix their old, nasty ways. Yes, they are a shady company with a bad reputation. No, we have not received our memory stick rebates yet. But do keep that in mind... maybe somewhere in the back with reruns of the dukes of hazard, but don't totally forget it. I'm not fighting for tiger, but seeing as how my only experience with them has leaned toward the positive side I can't fairly hate them yet.

I wouldn't worry about TigerDirect right now with TigerDirectDeals lurking around here and promising to take care of anyone who has a problem...one person had a problem with the flashmemory deal and he had a free one sent out.

Take advantage of it if you find a deal...no other venders are atleast offering us a direct contact.

I really wouldnt buy from tigerdirect because people in the past have had lots of problems with customer service from them

I bought a toshiba laptop from Tigerdirect in april and it was hassle free & great buy. My opinion of TD was very good. But maybe mine was just a one off case and what others say about TD might be correct.

If you look at most review sites for retailers you will see that about 1 in 6 people has a problem with tigerdirect. That is not very good odds. It is not worth the hassle for just an ok deal like this. If you want to be that 1 person out of 6 that has a problem go right ahead. There is a reason that AT decided to end the contract with TigerDirect on advertising. It is because TD is shady.
