Where can I get proof of the Costco $150 price on this drive? It's not listed on their website. I'd try calling but I think they're closed today.

Keep in mind that the MSN dollars are basically points which you can redeem towards future purchases, THEY ARE NOT equivalent to cash back.

You won't get $42 back from this deal, you will earn $42 in MSN dollars which can be redeemed in the future.

From MSN Wallet site:

MSN Dollars are awards that you can spend at participating stores on MSN.

When you earn MSN Dollars, they're stored in an account that's like an online gift card. It isn't a credit card. Your MSN Dollars account is easy to use. It's stored in your MSN Wallet and automatically shows up as an available payment method when you shop online at participating stores. If you don't have enough MSN Dollars to cover a purchase, you can use a credit or debit card to add more MSN Dollars to your account.

Nice deal. I ordered one and my girlfriend ordered another for me. Now I just need to pick up a Promise Raid card.

FYI: ? You'll be able to redeem your MSN Dollars in February 2003

? We'll send you an email in February 2003 notifying you that your reward is available. There'll be a quick & easy activation process, after which you can immediately spend your MSN Dollars using your MSN Wallet at any participating store(s)

Ouch. So it's really $200-$110MIR=$90. I wouldn't be surprised if msn will only let you use a PART of your rewards money toward an item. We'll know more/better in Feb. 2003.

now that CC's website has this for $179.99, will they do a price match with themselves? or will they pull that "sorry we gave you a rebate" crap

Has anyone heard from CC yet? I ordered 24 hours ago and have yet to receive an email from them. I got the msn email in a few minutes, but nothing from CC. I just called them to cancel my order(to much hassle with PMs and such and may wait a few weeks for an OM,Staples or Dell deal), but since my order is "still in process", they can't cancel it. Is this normal for CC? I do not have a CC in town and have never done business with them before.

Thanks for any info

I went and bought the last one at a local Circuit City at 8:00 PM last night. Those bastards didn't give me any rebates (times I've been there before, they would print them up along with the receipts, do they do them differently now?) nor did I see any signs that said it had rebates or did the employees tell me. But I knew they did. So I came home and immediately printed them up off the website so now I am all set. 200 - 20 for pricematch - 110 rebates = 70. I can't argue with that.

I just got my confirmation e-mail an hour ago (I ordered yesterday in the evening.) I also had to call them to find out what's going on...they just said it would take a while to process and to be patient.

how did you manage to get the pricematch to work? i've been told they won't do it even though cc's own website has it for $20 cheaper than in store, and i bought it online when it was $199. any ideas?

Did the rebates expire today, were they only good on purchases through 11/30? If not, can someone provide a link to them?

just call and do the pricematch.. their pricematch policy specifically addresses their own prices and it will go through.

On the $70 rebate it says:
Qualifying items must have been purchased between 11/28/02 and 11/30/02

On the $40 rebate it says:
Qualifying items must have been purchased between 11/28/02 and 12/30/02
I can't find this rebate at their site, but I saved the webpage(sort of). But I believe when I ordered it said they would give us a link to the rebate pages. I've never dealt with CC before, is this true?

Now if I "bought/ordered" this HD on Saturday, Nov. 30, but CC didn't get to it until today, Sunday, Dec. 1, will I(we) still qualify for the rebate?

How are you guys going to pricematch? Will you call them now for a PM, or is it better to wait a few weeks and see if someone else has it cheaper yet? Can you PM now, and again later?
