Society seems to be swinging back around to where it was in the medieval period, where 12-year-olds were ushered straight into adult society. Marriage for the girls and work for the boys...no chance to enjoy your childhood.

I wonder about any mother who pushes her young children into modeling. And I *really* wonder about the magazines that buy up this stuff...why is someone 6 years below the legal age of consent held up as the ultimate sexual icon?

Looks a bit creepy and haggard despite the babby fat but most likely due to the o'er-the-top cosmetics. I don't see any practical reason for using children to front adult fashion shows unless it is just to increase publicity exactly because of the shock factor. On a side note, her hair does not appear blonde as stated.

young, but most models get their start in their early teens (20+ is practically middle-aged for models). runway models typically range from like 13-18 (outside of the mega huge supermodels and the like).

she's totally got a manish look, but maybe that's what the casting director wanted. models aren't necessarily conventional hotties.
