'shoots' mother? Now what would've happened if there was no GUN in the first place? There would've been a good chance the mother would've survived any other attacks. GUNS must be outlawed.

It's not ludicrous. All of those weapons or things that can be used as weapons aren't really projectiles dedicated to the act of penetration and destruction. The kid would need to get near her mother and physically 'try' and assault her, which could've resulted in a much less severe following. A gun would make that part much too easy. But you already knew that. Don't be stupid.

It is ludicrous because it only takes one strike from behind with any of the weapons mentioned and it's all over. How hard is it for a daughter to get behind her mother? Better yet, she could slip poison into her mothers food. Your ease of murder theory is full of cracks.

in this case the Mom was shot with a gun. it is just a fact that some kinds of inanimate objects are more dangerous than others and therefore deserve to be regulated or in some cases prohibited.

There are credible arguments for and against possession of guns, the argument that guns aren't dangerous isn't one of them.

i gun is harmless without bullets loaded into it and the saftey off. Plutonium is artificially made radioactively unstable. They give away depleted uranium pellets at nuclear reators to visitors.

Either way, guns are not a necessity and can only do harm to an object or a person, especially if YOUR gun gets into the wrong hands. Why is that so hard to understand? each person is responsible for their own actions. not their parents, not society, etc.

There are lots of people who grew up in loving households who go bad, and lots of people who grew up with no love who turn out fine.
