Just a funny thought that IDE Raid cant outperform a regular SCSI Ultra160 according to 3Dnews.com. Speed probably increases cus 2 channels are present in throughput.

has anyone heard of 3ware? I believe their IDE controller dominates SCSI performance, however it costs around $300.
