pediatricians and other docs need to know how many months old your baby is...at least for the first 24 months...


BTW...my son is 12 months old too....
 
I agree, whenever anyone asks me how old my son is(he is 3 BTW)I just tell them to STFU, LOL just kidding. But I do tell them he is 3 as opposed to 42 months. I think obviously up to 12 months is okay, to a point I can understand up to 24 months, but after that, there is no reason to use months any more.

are you really this stupid? :roll: they say it in months because certain things happen during certain months. its easier to describe it that way and also to see if something is developmentally behind or ahead of schedule. calm down beavis.

MrDudeMan is right, if you say 1yo it could me `12mo's or 23mo's and there's a big difference developmentally between the two. Of course, when folks ask for my daugthers age I don't say 35mo's I say she'll be 3 in march, let them figure it out. (Been saying that for a few mo's, before that, 2 and a half, etc). I did the same thing at 1 and 2, would round off to 1, 1.5, almost 2, 2, etc...

If you talk with parents with kids the same age, then I do the months thing, but, otherwise it is a bit annoying.

Oh, just for fun, I just had my 384th month birthday.

ok, well, let me make a slight adjustment to my post.

to a point, its ok to use months. 25 months is borderline...

i can partially agree with you on that one.
