sweet deal, my new lap didn't have a media-reader but this looks even better with the 12 media types, slim design and is that a retractable usb cord ?!? 😀 .... good find, *ordering*

Don't want to crap on your thread, but I got my card reader for free at OfficeMax after MIR on a tip I got in this forum. The guy said they seemed to have these every couple weeks or so. I use it for SD, cause that's all I got. It's USB (don't know if it supports 2.0 or not) and it has worked fine for me so far.

always interested in free schtuff Muse, tell us more manufacture/model, etc does it support 12 media types or at least all the common ones? Is it somewhat like this one with a slim design and/or a retractable usb cord. Just want some details that's all.

Looking at it, the model number is CR-V7-UD, made in China. I don't know if I have the packaging, and it doesn't display a brand name on the device. It came with USB cable and driver (I guess), and it's always worked flawlessly. It says Secure Digital, so it probably doesn't support other types. IIRC I had the choice of this or at least one other card reader (for different types). It was advertized in OM's newspaper insert, which I started reading when I read that post about the free after MIR at OM for card readers. Do a Google search on that model number and you will come up with a lot of hits. HTH.
