Regarded as piss by some or not, Bud's marketing has proven just as effective with the young and easily led in Britain as it has elsewhere. That said, why are you bothering overpaying for Heinekin? It's green bottles and light complexion all but assures that it doesn't make the trip overseas in good shape, and, as what flavor it had is probably skunked, why not drink an American megabrew that tastes that crappy to begin with? You, and the state of beer in America, would be better off if you'd support some relatively local small brewer. Anchor, for example.

Someone above asked why we don't get the same Heinekin as they do in Europe. We do. It just doesn't make the trip well.

Excellent price but I don't recall seeing it in the latest ad (I need to re-check!); Long's recently had it for $10.99/12-pk...

Weird...they sell booze at Rite Aids in other parts of the US?!
<--From NJ where you got to have a liquor license to sell any booze.

That's not true. You can sell beer and malt by the case if you own a beer distributer, and you can get wine and hard stuff from the "Wine And Spirits Shoppe" which is owned by the Commonwealth Minstry of Virtue. Communism is alive and well in PA. Why, just this week, they decided to allow Commie Booze stores to open on *gasp* SUNDAY for a trial period of two years.

Give me a freaking break. Stupid Pennsylvania. When there is talk of privatizing the Ministry of Alcohol, the ninnies complain that a profit-driven proprieter would be encouraged to sell to minors becuase it means extra profit.

Yeah right. As it is, the people working for the Gubmint Liquor Store are the same stooges that work for DMV and other Gubmint agencies. Like they can competently check IDs?
*sheesh*

I'm from PA so I can feel your pain. But I moved to NY and to get my NY drivers license I had to show a stamped foiled birth certificate (the one that MA had given my family "wasn't good enough" and I had to order another), SS card, PA drivers license, student ID, work ID, *AND* a *bank card.* Yeeeah. So don't go talking about DMV not competently checking ideas. :) Freakin' 9-11 paranoia taking over the country...

Oh yeah, and I like beer. Nice deal. :)
