well shouldn't the latest IDE driver included in the 4in1s be the same as the separate IDE driver? there is no update for hybrid boards for the IDE controller...

Rant: Does VIA even know what the h#ll they are doing? These stupid updates have been going on since atleast the K6 days. Why in the hell can't they get these things right? Is it any wonder there are some many moans and groans when the subject of VIA is brought up?

Ah, the endless 4-in-1 driver 'updates' from our friends at VIA.

I can't wait for version 5.0. :D

<<Great post, Bozo. Where did you find that information?<<

Bozo works in strange and mysterious ways.

How people react to "Galora" higher level posts is really a mirror of their own knowledge:
And so, Serialb, this shows you to be an intelligent, higher I.Q., more educated member of AT.
You probably got good SAT scores, are a college graduate, good looking, and on your way to a successful
career.

:D

I would hire you in a minute.

Mr. Helpful:

Yes, I prefer the updates versus leaving something unsupported. That said, the frequency at which they release these updates doesn't give a person "warm fuzzy feelings" that they know what they are doing.
