Well I finally got my official FO from Best Buy today. After they sent me from store to store for in store pick up, they sent me an apology saying they're out of stock. Anyway at least I got one stick of 256 MB ddr ram.

Turns out that Antec KS-282 has the 303XP power supply in it now instead of the 303X that is in the picture on the box. The difference besides the P4 connector is the combined power rating, up from 160 to 180, which should make it AMD XP CPU compatible, not just up to Athlon 900's. It even has a newer IO panel to match the Gigabyte I got in the AMD giveaway that has on bosrd sound jack poking out the back.

That, and the ram, + the earlier Maxtor 20g deal is way too cool.

Can someone PM me a link to these ads? I need to do a BestValue guarantee with AMEX and they won't take my receipt as proof, they need a dated advertisement. I lost my original flyer. I gotta fax them something valid. A scan would be cool too if someone has a paper from last week. It has to say the store, show the memory price, and have a date.

Damn! I gotta do these rebate things more often so that I know what I'm doing. I got the phone, webcam, and Crucial and threw the rebate forms in the drawer to fill out later. Sunday I decided to fill them out...then remembered I threw out all the boxes (with all of the UPCs).

Boy, was I surprised to actually get the Crucial 256 MB PC2100 memory placed on order at Best Buy's web site on 12-10. I thought for sure that since the price has risen so dramatically, and they were backordered, they would not reorder these and just let the rebate expire, but I got it yesterday, and the $10 rebate does not have to be postmarked till 1-15-02.

Oh yeah, as of today would you believe Crucial wants $69, for the same 256 MB PC2100. Sure glad I saved $44!

Tacoma99, could you scan your shipping statement to me, if you can pm me. I have been fighting with them for a month now. They cancelled my order after ten days of waiting then five days after they were in stock. Called to have order reinstated and they said it was clearly within the backorder status time frame. Gave me a case # and said I would be contacted, no body calls , a few days later I call and they are out of stock again. I check one last time before 30 days and they have it in stock and say they wont pricematch special promos or some crap. I just want the ram I ordered online, that was claimed to never be in stock again and clearly within the backorder status time frame.


Sorry for the rant(moan) but if you could do that it would help greatly in my complaint with the bbb.
