An concerning this topic: sh1t in the trash can IS disgusting...just don't wait until the end to flush.
 
My brother lived with a friend's family his senior year of high school, after my parents moved to a new city. He said they threw it in the trash can. You're supposed to flush it. TP is made to break down in water, so it's flushable. If your toilet can't handle TP, then you need to call a plumber. Yes, he said it stunk up the whole bathroom. You'd go in, and see the skid-marked paper from the person before you. How nasty!!!
 
in mexico, you have to trash it. you cant flush it, because their plumbling system cant handle toilet paper and such, it clogs up the pipes.
 
This is an unpleasant topic. In Mexico, because of very poor sewage pipes they use trash cans. That practice has been carried north with many of them. You WILL notice it in some of their restaurant bathrooms.

Now please lock it up... :disgust:
