Well I haven't tried it, but it doesn't seem like it works. Just seems like nothing really.

They are a scam. They block the signal but it is still stored in memory of the box and of course the cable company will turn the box off it they suspect that you are doing this by it not responding to their pings for a few weeks. At least that is what any smart cable operator would do. I doubt any reset method works.

If I can recall a thread on stealing cable was recently locked so my guess is that this will be locked too. Just pay for what you want, that's what I do.
