I watched this special on MTV about prostitues in Nevada (Real Life: "I'm a Prostitute."), and it said that the bordellos (is that the right word) has to be a certain amount of miles away from the city limit, they had to have official "prostitute licenses" issued by the state, and they could only do their practice in places that are certified for prostitution.
 
Yes, I've gotten accosted SEVERAL times by ladies asking if my friends or I "want a date."

Most of them are U-G-L-Y (you ain't got no alibi!)
