You know what... screw it. Instead of bitching about them wasting my money I'm just going to spend that energy figuring out how to get on the grand theft myself.

Are those numbers including material costs (asphalt/traffic equipment/etc.) or just labor?

I'm fairly certain that the total budget figure would include material costs, so the actual payroll per job created is likely much less than $82k. Good catch!

Man these stations like fox, msnbc etc are so pathetic. Just report the facts, not bias of choice please whether it is left or right tilted. I'm surprised people put up with this bs.

Well, the reason I ask is because on the audit report, page 11, she breaks down the awarded amount by project, with a description of the projects on page 13. For example, on the Left Turn Arrows, LADOT was awarded $4 million to construct 65 new left turn arrows.

I used to live in LA so I know how shitty it is not to have dedicated left turn signals.

Thanks Mr. Obvious.

No problem. Actually I agree with you. You would think no one would have to point out this is not a reflection on the stimulus but the error of the state government. But Nickolette took a shot at this being a reflection of the failed stimulus, which we now see when all the facts are known is not the case at all. But I don't really blame you for your ignorance or even get mad at you. You can't help it, its the way you was raised. Its not your fault.

In a way its the fault of the stimulus AND the state. Its the fault of the stimulus because the government handed the states money expecting them to spend it wisely. That's like giving a crackhead $100 and expecting him to spend it wisely.

Its also California's fault for being retarded, you are right about that.

Calling me demeaning names only makes you look like a retard, just an FYI.

How is the apparent inefficiency of two departments in LA "California's fault?"

Lame.

It's seriously one of the main reasons I hate going to LA(the actual city, not the area I live in). Thank god I don't really have that problem around me, plenty of left turn signals for everyone!

If Obama had appointed someone or created a committee to oversee the stimulus in these states you would have complained about him creating to many czars or being some kind of tyrant. So you can't have it both ways. This in no way reflects poorly on the stimulus, just LA.

The party of Democrats are being shown to be one of the most foolish, corrupted group of politicians the world has ever known. It's good to see the truth outing.
