After putting all of the parts to my computer together and booting it up I get this message.{reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key. Why am I getting this and how can I fix it . Thanks.

hmmm, there are 2 ways you can try. While booting hit escape key to bring up the boot sequence (depending on what you have for mobo it can be F3 or other key, maybe F4.You can go into the bios where boot selection is listed.Make sure your hard drive is selected as one of the boot devices.Usually its first floppy,2nd hard driver and third CDROM and if there is a fourth just disable it or leave it enabled. Some have the CDROM as first but thats just basically for installing operating system like XP.The main thing is that the hard drive is selected or it won't boot. You could also be having a different problem.

You may have your floppy cable backwards. Or, you may need to change the jumper on the hardrive to master-slave instead of cable select.
