Um, hit foward on your browser to go back to the reply page. The text is always still there for me (IE6)

Not if you use the WYSIWYG editor 😉

Don't accidently hit the back button... problem solved.

Why didn't I think of that? What kind of food do you eat?

Anandtech is the only site that doesn't restore your document after returning forward once a backspace is pressed.

It restores it just fine for me. I just tried (Opera 7.11 and IE6).

Are you using the WYSIWYG editor?

That's funny, I just tried it and it reappears now. I guess I only lose information when I spend 5 minutes composing something substantial.

And that's AT's fault.....how?

Stop hitting the back button on your intellimouse then

Let's see...

I posted this originally because I thought I had found a problem with AT's site...
I started this thread because of a possible problem with the software...
Your original post mentions nothing about site problems or software problems, only operator problems and, what sounds to me like a request for an auto save feature.

but you little dicks must turn it into a personality issue.
Ummm...I don't see anyone bringing personalities into it except you.

Grow the f*** up...stay the f*** off my thread!
I'm sorry but I'm having trouble finding the "grown up" part of those statements.

If you think that you might accidently erase your post before completion, you could, as you go, highlight the completed text and "copy". Then you could "paste" if you erased. Just one possible solution.

No, I'm not. That probably has something to do with it; when he said "Anandtech is the only site that doesn't restore your document," I assumed he wasn't talking about using WYSIWYG, because that only exists in FT. I haven't seen autosave at FW or other FT boards, so I thought he was just talking about the board itself.
