I think alot of people react with anger towards this type of thing because they have pets themselves. I know if I caught somebody doing this to any animal (lizards included, that's right /\), let alone one of my cats, I wouldn't necessarily want them dead, but I'd sure as hell AT THE LEAST whip out a paintball gun and have some fun making the bitch dance.

Fixed, and agreed. I think we need to start utilizing sterilization as a society, either as a form of punishment or for anyone under an arbitrary IQ score, we could start low, at say.. 80-90. Wouldn't be a magic cure, but I think it would help out quite a bit. As it stands, we're not only no longer advancing as a species, but regressing, overall.

Not attacking you personally, but I think the majority of people who feel this way do so out of feelings of inadequacy - what better way to lift up one's self-image than to consider one's self better than <insert group> by default? It's the basis of racism in many cases as well. Quite honestly, most cats &amp; dogs are better than most people these days.
