One? Uh, no, read the article, better yet read the freaking topic title.

But why does the article say it's going to cost Massachusetts $36k? I know Mechanicsburg may look like Massachusetts at first glance, but how do you miss the PA?

And supposedly, they were being charged at the time.

They're probably just claiming 36k worth of damages so they can have free macs. You ca hose off a mac and it'll probably be fine after it dries.

Why the FUCK does an elementary school need $36k worth of MacBooks?

A computer lab with some cheap desktops running MICROSOFT WINDOWS (you know, the operating system that 95% of all businesses run) would be more than sufficient.

Apple is insanely good with marketing.

They probably have a computer lab too. The more important computers get, the more labs you need, to get everybody the lab time they want. Eventually, you run out of space and the mobile carts are cheaper than building additions onto the buildings.

As for Mac vs. PC, well... some of it's marketing. Yes. Some of it's other things.

What the fuck is a school doing with macbooks? "Heh kids today we are going to teach you how to use an OS about 1% of computer users will ever come across in a work environment"
