what's the big deal? ;)

it was 0-118 in 11.42 sec. The big deal is it was a 1 ton crew cab diesel engine ford truck.

Also, note those arent factory shoes its wearing. Those are pretty big tires on a lifted truck. That alone really can cut into your acceleration. The fact a lifted truck with aftermarket tires does that..... Wow......

This was posted a while ago, but I'm not whining (lots of new people seeing it)

I think what I read last time was that it had a supercharged Cummings Deisel in it.

The thing about deisels is that you can crank the fuel/air mixture up to ridiculous levels and keep adding HP without hurting the engine. So basically he was dumping huge amounts of gas into his motor. Deisels you can throw the mix around without tuning the engine, so he could probably flip a switch or swap a chip and then drive home in that monster getting decent mileage.

A great truck. I saw one like in in RL. Big, lifted huge, painted with flames and whatnot. I was at a stoplight next to it. At the green, he took of doing some ridiculous acceleration, and dumping smoke out of his exhaust. A fun sight to see.

Why would they supercharge an already turbo'ed engine? (iirc the Cummins is TC'ed) And yea, it's a Dodge engine in a Ford truck :)

its not that hard to make those powerstroke turbo's go fast... spend $2000 on bullydog and you're nearly there... a lil more for a propain injection kit and boom... your in there :) not fast off the line but could pull a house off its foundation :D

It's a Cummins diesel, not a Powerstroke.
