11% Raise @ work

My boss gave me an 11% raise a few minutes ago 🙂 Didn't ask for it and the ironic thing is that this morning, before work, I was telling my SO that if we had nearly that same amount (as in the raise), that we actually be able to have some meaningful savings.

You couldn't save any money making $75K? That seems crazy unless you have kids or something.

lol just because you live in one of the top 5 most expensive cities doesn't mean everywhere is like that. Save $50k then come to Austin and you'll get a nice 1 bedroom condo in the suburbs. Save $120k and get a brand new 2000 sq ft house in the burbs or an older 1500 sq ft house in town.
