...we want to make some headway!

I use my headway too much at work already. :p Sorry, feeling quite silly today. :)

No heat in the house so called heating oil company for emergency service.

I just fired up my 3930K with 2 GTX980s and installed F@H and everything looks ok and also am getting a little heat in the house. :)

To continue the discussion from thanksgiving thread regarding cooling, I would remind everyone that Folding can put your equipment to a pretty good test. So make sure to send the dust bunnies on vacation for this race. :)

Worth repeating, so there. :)

I've learned UTC does not do the daylight savings thing, so this race is set to start in less than 8 hours, 7pm Eastern/4pm Pacific.

Hardly official, but here is a snap from the day before we start. It will be quite interesting to see how it will change weekly, and at the end of the month. :)

Wow, neglected to notice that tomorrow is Dec. 1. Didn't even get in my ten WUs to "prime" my F@H PC. I might get off to a slow start for this race.

I don't think you need to prime your PC unless you've never folded on it before.

I got my first GPU WU started. It should finish shortly after the race starts. :)

Ok, I thought the whole Priming thing was a bit of a joke until it got repeated...What are we talking about?

I have noticed in the past that my workunits tend to get longer and longer and longer. Longer tasks=higher scores? Thus priming the PC to get the longer tasks?

After you get your passkey and start folding you are required to finish 10 WUs before you can get quick return bonuses.
As best I recall the passkey is personal so if you have completed 10 WUs on any machine you are eligible for bonus points.

Passkeys are good forever.
If you haven't folded for a while but still have an old key it is ok to use.
The same key is used on any and all machines used by one user. It is a security feature that folding uses to be sure the points coming in under your name are from you and then bonuses are given to those machines for quicker return of work. So if you have friends and relatives afar running folding for you be sure to have then use your key for added points:)

Still, I may be way off and will therefore take the liberty, in the forst part of the race, to juggle the teams around.

I should surpass my production from all my previous race output combined, so I think some juggling will be needed. ;)

Ha......
I think the first week to ten days is going to be a real clusterf***. We have a new mix of players and no real history to go by.

petrusbroder's going to have his work cut out.

Should be fun!

On a historical note: We had 34 racer's in the first annual race.
